Responsible for developing or testing computer software applications, systems or services. Improve scalability and performance of Microsoft’s sophisticated software systems. Collaborate with cross functional teams to build scalable, secure, and efficient services that will power new ways to interact with technology. Utilize technical expertise throughout all stages of product design and development, from concept through prototype and production. Leverage technical skills to deploy successful product releases, from early product definition and scope to detailed specification, implementation and roll-out phases. Design or test high-quality code constructs to meet technical requirements, such as scale, global delivery, implementation across distributed systems, monitoring, serviceability, testability, and debugging. Develop software that is highly available. Telecommuting permitted 100% from any location in the U.S.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Master's or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, Physics, or a related field.
• Experience: 12 months of software development experience formulating and analyzing software requirements.
• Education or Experience in: JavaScript; C#; Coordinating program development of computer software applications/systems/services from design through product release; Visual Studio; Algorithms; .NET; and Web UI.

Pay Range and Benefits Information

The offered base pay range for this specific position (V9148709.a), based in Redmond, WA (but telecommuting permitted 100% from any location in the U.S.), is $156,114 to $186,114 per year.

Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time. 

At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. Benefits/perks listed may vary depending on the nature of employment with Microsoft and the country work location.
